Update Week Ending 12/02/2023

Today is Saturday, December 2. Sunday, December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This United Nations holiday raises awareness for the rights of individuals with disabilities. Thursday, December 7 Hannukah begins for the 8 day Festival of Lights. This is a Jewish holiday celebrating their uprising against their Greek-Syrian oppressors in the Maccabean Revolt and rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. Friday, December 8 is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the day Roman Catholics celebrate Mary’s conception without original sin.

a. The Enemy is Silence (We all need to speak out against hatred and intolerance).
