Today is Saturday, April 4. We are currently in the Passover, the eight day celebration marking the deliverance of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt. Passover ends Thursday, April 9. Tomorrow, Sunday, April 5 is Easter, the day Christians believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God rose from the dead. The Eastern Orthodox church is entering their Holy Week with Easter Sunday, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 12.
