Highlights of the Exploring Racism Group (ERG) program

EXPLORING RACISM GROUPS

Mission:

  • Exploring Racism Groups provide an opportunity for organizational leaders in our community to grow in their knowledge about racism, understand their own biases and perspectives, and become an antiracist by taking action to promote racial justice, and to break down the structures of racism in their own spheres of influence.

The ERG program is free!!!

Process:

  • Twelve sessions, one each month, 12- month duration
  • 1.5 hours per session
  • 8-10 participants/cohort
  • First 10 months/sessions, curriculum/topic driven.
  • Approx. 45 minutes of pre-work per session
  • Call to action – Final two sessions participant presentations 

Keys to success:

  • Participant attendance commitment
  • Depth of interaction: Ability to share/ be vulnerable.
