Update Week Ending 6/03/2023

Today is Saturday June 3. This past Thursday was the start of LGBTQIA+ Pride month. Tomorrow, Sunday is Trinity Sunday that centers on the doctrine in the Christian church that God is three in one – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thursday, June 8 is the Feast of Corpus Christi, a Roman Catholic feast day marking the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

1. Pathstone Presents – Provoking Thought program on Monday, June 5; 1:00 – 3:30 PM titled “The Color of Law and Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under to Color of Law”.

3. Juneteenth in Rochester is celebrated on Saturday, June 17th and Monday, June 19th (the official date).

a. The City of Rochester’s Juneteenth Festival begins on Saturday, June 17th with a parade starting 10:00 AM at Chestnut and Court Street and ends at the Strong National Museum of Play.

b. The Strong National Museum of Play offers free admission on Saturday, June 17th.

c. There will be a festival following the parade at the MLK Jr. Memorial Park following the parade featuring Hi[-hop recording artice Lil’ Mo and the festival will highlight black businesses and other activities.

d. Juneteenth at the Rochester Museum & Science Center is celebrated on Saturday, June 17th:
